Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Broker to join our team. As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for managing the transportation of goods and coordinating with carriers and shippers to ensure timely and efficient delivery. Your strong sales skills and knowledge of the supply chain industry will be essential in securing new contracts and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

Duties:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities by prospecting and cold calling potential clients
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to ensure competitive pricing
- Coordinate the movement of freight by dispatching carriers and tracking shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any issues or concerns that arise during transportation
- Utilize transportation planning software to optimize routing and maximize efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HAZ & FDA regulations for transporting perishable goods
- Perform data entry tasks to accurately record shipment details and maintain up-to-date records

Requirements:
- Experience in transportation
- Strong knowledge of the supply chain industry, including transportation planning and logistics
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and carriers
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in data entry and computer skills

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
